About Susan Brown

Susan is a registered psychologist and teacher, and has a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. She was educated and trained in Scotland and worked there initially as a primary school teacher, and then as an Educational Psychologist for 10 years before moving to the Gold Coast in 2005. She has worked as a Guidance Counsellor and Psychologist in schools on the Gold Coast since 2007, and as a learning support teacher in the year prior. Susan has extensive training and experience in all areas of psychological assessment and intervention, and is passionate about helping children, parents, young people and adults attain well-being, life skills and a positive future.

Susan Brown is an experienced, caring and compassionate general and educational psychologist who has been working for over 25 years helping children, teenagers, their families and teachers resolve concerns about development, emotional well-being, relationships, behaviour, learning and life goals. With solutions always in mind, she brings together a wide range of psychological assessment and counselling skills, with a focus on skill building, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Positive Psychology and Solution Focused Counselling, to now offer psychological services and a better future to children, adolescents and adults in a private community setting.

Susan is experienced with the common mental health concerns of stress, anxiety, grief and depression, along with difficulties with parenting, family relationships, motivation and engagement with education and work.
